Cost Crisis Seminar for Hackney businesses by Allia

Business owners in Hackney invited to online seminar for free advice and support on managing with escalating costs.

Allia is working with Hackney Council to deliver a brand new seminar designed to help business owners in the borough navigate their way through the cost crisis and become more sustainable and resilient.

The seminar will run online on Monday 5 December, focusing on cost management and growth and covering topics such as cash management, unit economics and innovative strategies for growth. With expert speakers and lots of opportunities to ask questions specific to your business, the seminar also provides a chance for local ventures to network, share contacts and form collaborations.

Andrew Brisbin, Director of Ventures at Allia, adds “Right now it is crucial for entrepreneurs to be equipped with the knowledge and tools necessary to navigate these turbulent economic times. With the cost of living crisis coming back-to-back after the pandemic, small businesses need a break and we know that this information, curated by entrepreneurs will help maximize each entrepreneur’s precious time”.

Allia runs free support programmes to help local businesses, start-ups and enterprises to thrive and grow. It works directly with founders and entrepreneurs to guide and advise ways to attract more customers, gain efficiencies and increase revenue. The organisation has worked with businesses in Hackney for over 5 years, providing targeted support through a range of programmes such as its Impact Accelerator, focused on helping social and environmental ventures create more impact, and its Start Your Business & Grow Your Business programmes helping early stage or established local businesses to start up, grow and scale.

Hackney has been supporting Allia’s programmes since the start of the year, in order for them to deliver targeted support to ventures and businesses in the borough. In the summer, they launched another new seminar series – Green Business Seminar – which advises ventures on how to become more sustainable and make more environmentally positive decisions in their business. Feedback from local businesses is always strong, with comments such as “It’s a wonderful and timely initiative that is supporting entrepreneurs at all levels and encourages ambition and progress in diverse local communities”.
