Amplify your impact with Allia’s new founder’s club
The last 18 months have caused a new kind of anxiety for small business and start-up founders. One of the key things we’ve been hearing about is a lack of engagement outside their founder ‘bubbles’. People haven’t been networking; they haven’t been chatting over coffee or meeting at the water cooler and thus have missed the opportunity to meet new contacts.

£105 million for new affordable homes in Scotland
The Scottish Government has agreed investment worth £105 million to boost the number of affordable homes in Scotland – through Allia’s Charitable Bond programme. It has been working with Allia for 8 successful years – and now £105 million has been secured for the social housing sector.
FOTOGRAF – The life of young people in Uganda, through their eyes
Last week saw the opening of award-winning photographer Julian Claxton’s latest exhibition, Fotograf, at our Future Business Centre at the Cambridge Guildhall. Established in 2015, Fotograf (previously Give a Child a Camera) is a programme of photography workshops designed to ‘enrich, inspire and empower’ young people in East Africa.

We have been working with Europe’s leading climate innovation initiative, EIT Climate-KIC, to deliver 6 months of support to start-ups who have innovative solutions for addressing the climate emergency
As the programme came to a close, the founders joined to pitch their ventures at Allia’s Climate Accelerator Demo Day at the British Antarctic Survey in Cambridge – the same venue that saw the launch of the programme back in January 2022.
