We’re launching the Tech for Good Award at the #SciTechAwards
We’re excited to partner with Cambridge Independent for their Science and Technology Awards again this year and to sponsor the newly launched Tech for Good category.
It will recognize those businesses that work hard to develop innovative solutions harnessing technology with purpose, to solve the world’s most pressing environmental and social challenges.
Also, this year Caroline Hyde, our CEO will join the judging panel for the awards, to champion sustainability as an important criterion for applicants in all categories.
Last year, Allia Future Business Centres sponsored the CleanTech category at the awards – which we were happy to head up as our Cambridge centre is the leading CleanTech cluster in the city – and handed the award to The VaioPak Group, who help the food service packaging industry to be more sustainable. Working with Cambridge Independent, we were keen to launch a Tech for Good award this year, to increase the categories that recognise sustainability and showcase the innovative businesses out there that use technology for purpose.
Caroline said, “We’re really pleased to be part of the Science and Technology awards for the second year, and especially proud to be launching the Tech for Good category for 2019. It will be an honour to be part of the judging panel, and I look forward to seeing all of the applicants who will represent the very best of the amazing science and technology talent we have in this city.”
Applications are now open here until the closing date of 31 July.
Allia Future Business Centres provide a community to help start-ups and ventures thrive and grow. Through our centres and the free venture support programmes we run, we work with those who, at the heart of their business, address the UN Sustainable Development Goals and create solutions for social and environmental change.
