Allia scoops Best Not-for-Profit Employer award

Awards recognise companies in East Anglia who go the extra mile to keep their staff engaged and happy

Allia, the UK’s leading organisation dedicated to supporting impact ventures, has won an award for Best Not-For-Profit Employer. The award, which was based on results of a detailed staff survey that over 15,000 employees across the East Anglian region responded to, covered topics such as a company’s performance, culture, staff training and engagement levels. Allia’s survey had the best results in the not-for-profit category, and its results ranked in the ‘top 25%’ of all companies that entered across all categories.

Two years ago, Allia won the award for Best Small Business Employer and as the organisation has grown since then, it has focused on ensuring that employee engagement continues to be deeply embedded, both for recent joiners and longer-serving members of staff. Areas that the organisation scored most highly on in the survey were motivation, integrity and team work – and staff added positive comments such as “Allia is a very flexible and fair organisation to work for” and “I am grateful for the time and effort Allia has put into my personal development”. In several areas of the survey Allia scored higher than other companies who took part in the initiative, including positive results around organisational success for business focus and innovation, and confirmed that employees feel highly engaged.
