New Wave Biotech have acquired 1 paying pilot customer, and 4 customers in active pilot discussions. Grew customer pipeline to over £4m/year revenue.
They have launched new core product functionality: 3 new unit operations modelled, the ability for the system to learn from experimental data added and improved UX.
Featured: in alt protein thinktank Good Food Institute’s State of the Industry Fermentation Report, Singapore broadsheet newspaper The Straits Times, industry media outlets Vevolution and the Next Sequence TechBio podcast.
Raised almost £170k so far from an Innovate UK grant and investors, with further committed.
The team have grown with the additional of 3 new full-time hires – bioprocess engineer, software developer and project/product manager.
New wave biotech have been recognized for their efforts as a finalist in the Royal Society of Chemistry’s Emerging Tech competition, ChemUK’s Bioeconomy pitch competition and has been shortlisted as a finalist at the UKBAA Best Investment in Diversity & Deep Tech Award
